Physics and Open-Source Robotics – Activities for the classroom

At 2015 National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) National Conference in Chicago, we presented a workshop titled: Physics and Open-Source Robotics – Opera of Math and Science. The workshop introduced a number of methods using a simple, low-cost robotics platform built on Arduino to teach some of the basic concepts of both physics and robotics. With arduino, a simple robotics chassis, and a little math, we have a few ideas of introducing students to kinematics concepts in physics.
