The SSTUWA welcomes Gary Stager to engage, motivate and celebrate with school leaders and teachers. Gary Stager’s conference presentations, keynote addresses and school presentations are known for being provocative, witty and full of examples of children doing remarkable things.
This internationally recognized educator, author, speaker and consultant returns to Perth for the first time in years to share his observations collected from direct experience in schools around the world. Although there are powerful forces hell bent on eroding the public’s confidence in education, privatizing public schools, and turning classrooms into joyless factories focused on standardization, there is room for great optimism as well.
In the 21st Century, educators need to create productive contexts for learning in which students are prepared to solve problems their school never even imagined.
