Raspberry Pi Resources

Dear Parents:
Each child will bring home their own Raspberry Pi computer kit to keep. The Raspberry Pi is a tiny Linux-based inexpensive computer that can be used for schoolwork, programming, gaming, appliance control, and more.
Best of all, the Raspberry Pi works with an old computer monitor, television, or your fancy new high-definition TV. The kit comes with an HDMI cable. If you want your child to recycle an old VGA monitor or television, you will need to get an adapter like one of these:
  1. HDMI to VGA adapter (Raspberry Pi to old computer monitor)
  2. Composite Cables for the Raspberry Pi (you may need to experiment with which cable is for video and then use the other two for audio)
If you use the HDMI cable and high-definition television, the system audio will play through the television.
There is some documentation in the box. However, the following links may be of use.
